Grady and Grant

F.A.Q.

The industry is an incredibly exciting one. It’s a real rollercoaster of extreme highs and extreme lows. It is certainly not for the faint hearted! You will face rejection more than you will be successful at booking work. You will be asked to travel to castings (auditions) with only 24 hours notice and everything, absolutely everything, is done at the last minute. However, as long as you are flexible and approach the demands of the industry with good humour, you will get on just fine. At the end of the day, nothing beats that feeling of getting the call to say you’ve got the job!

Yes, we are a sole agency to avoid the confusion of clients being submitted for jobs by more than one agent. Unfortunately our clients are not permitted to have any other representation for acting work whilst under contract with us.

Our commission rate is 15% across all work.

There is no charge for joining the agency and we do not charge any administration fees.

There are, however, some additional costs which you should bear in mind as all clients will be required to purchase high standard headshots and to pay for Spotlight membership (currently £162 per year for adults and £106 per year for young performers).

There are a few things we ask of all clients in order to help the agency run smoothly:

  • We will need you to keep your details and measurements updated regularly.
  • We will ask that you keep us informed of any dates when you are not available for work.
  • Headshots must be kept updated so that they reflect your current look.
  • Adults will need new headshots if they change their look and, for children who change constantly, new headshots are required at least every 12 months.

Most importantly we ask that all clients are mindful that they are representing Grady and Grant when working and conduct themselves in a manner which protects our excellent reputation.

Our aim is to offer each of our clients a first class service which is individually tailored to support their unique goals. We work very much in partnership with our clients. You can expect transparency in everything we do, clear and honest communication and to be treated with kindness and respect at all times. We will work hard to support you in your career and will always have your back.

Sadly, as much as we try our best to find all of our clients work, there are no guarantees. We would be lying if we said we can 100% promise you work.

The industry is incredibly competitive. Some clients will be lucky enough to book work and some won’t. That’s why we always say it’s important to enjoy the process of auditioning.

You will face a lot of rejection, all actors do, but it doesn’t mean you’re not good enough. It’s just part and parcel of the industry.

Enjoy training, practicing your skills and auditioning and, when a job booking does come along, well that’s a nice added bonus!

Whilst we do prefer all clients to be Spotlight registered, we are willing to consider applications from actors who are still working towards their Spotlight membership.

We understand that there may be any number of reasons why someone might wish to leave the agency.

We very much hope that you will have enjoyed being represented by us, but, if you would like to move on, that is absolutely no problem. We don’t ever want any of our clients to feel nervous about telling us they are leaving the agency. We promise never to take it personally!

All we ask is that you let us know in writing (email is fine) that you wish to terminate your contact.
